deep-dive from the Kubernetes ClusterAPI project: how to manage hundreds of clusters at once with just Kubernetes.
Deep Dive (ADVANCED level)

Managing a single cluster is easy, even if upgrades can be tricky, but what about managing hundreds or even thousands of clusters? How do you provide and manage clusters for each developer without spending a lot of time on it? There are several challenges to overcome (you'll see, it's not complicated 🙂 )

The first challenge is to know how to deploy them easily in one go.

The second is knowing which tool to use (there are plenty available today).

The third challenge is how to make this process easy, stable, fast and secure.

Most existing tools often require you to learn new "languages", which isn't always easy to get to grips with.

Did you know that you can deploy and manage hundreds or even thousands of clusters using Kubernetes alone?

Did you know that you can even use Kubernetes to manage the deployment of applications in these clusters?

This magic is made possible by a sub-project of the Kubernetes SIG, called ClusterAPI.

In this talk, I'll be showing you all the magic this project has to offer,

, and how it can help you easily manage any scenario involving the deployment of Kubernetes clusters AND the applications that run on them.

As the icing on the cake, several opensource tools are already based on Clusterapi, so let's discover a few of them (with a little demo? 🙂 )
