She is the captain of NOVATARD #24950, a robotics team that won the Inspire Award at the Moroccan championship and represented the country at the FIRST World Championship in Houston. At the same event, she was named Morocco’s first Dean’s List Finalist for her leadership and efforts to promote STEM. Hafsa also leads Hack Club Casablanca, a teen-run community of over 150 members. She organized the city’s first teen-led, teen-focused hackathons and was recognized as Tech Community Hero 2025 by the Geeksblabla community for creating a welcoming space where teens can build, share projects, and feel proud of what they make. Outside of tech, she is Morocco’s national women’s foil fencing champion and has represented her country at the African Fencing Championship in Egypt.
Many teens feel coding and tech are hard to approach or isolating. This talk shares how creating welcoming, supportive communities helps young people gain confidence, enjoy learning, and build real projects. Drawing from my experience leading Hack Club Casablanca, attendees will learn practical ways to create spaces where teens can experiment, fail, and succeed together. Walk away with ideas to make tech more accessible and enjoyable for all ages.
