Talk details

In my work, I’ve seen that things don’t always go as planned, especially in the cloud. Systems fail, something breaks, access isn’t there when you need it, and suddenly your architecture is being tested in ways you didn’t expect.
This talk is about designing with that reality in mind. I’ll share lessons I’ve learned from real projects where we had to think beyond clean diagrams and focus on how things actually behave when they go wrong. It’s about making smart decisions early so recovery doesn’t turn into chaos later.
Whether you're building from scratch or improving what you already have, I’ll share practical takeaways to help you build cloud systems that are not just functional but ready to handle failure.

Hi, I’m Zineb Ammar, Cloud and DevOps Engineer at Deloitte Extended Services. I work across cloud environments, helping design and automate systems with a focus on architecture, delivery pipelines, and reliability.
I like tackling real-world problems whether it’s building something from the ground up, improving what already exists, keeping things running smoothly without unnecessary complexity, or making sure teams can recover quickly when they don’t.
I’m really excited to be part of Devoxx this year. It would be great to share what I’ve been working on, learn from others and bring some of the experience and lessons I’ve gained at Deloitte into the conversation or simply connect with people who get just as curious about infrastructure and tech as I do.
